Code Reader 2700
The CR2700 is Code’s fourth-generation Bluetooth® 5 barcode scanner, combining nearly twenty years of market experience with new features to improve the workflow in any setting from medical to retail environments. Available in both Light and Dark Grey, we have taken our unparalleled scanning performance and stepped it up a notch, tackling even more damaged and poorly printed barcodes to keep your business moving. Additionally, the CR2700 is now available in a FIPS 140-2 Certification option. This government validation of robust data encryption is yet another reason why the CR2700 is a market leader.
We are all worried about infection control in the time of COVID-19. The CR2700 is your answer to that challenge regarding your scanning tools! With the introduction of wireless (inductive) charging, we have eliminated any exposed metal thereby making the device even more durable to the cleaners required infectious-disease control standards. Combined with seamless construction, an IP65 rating, and top-of-the-line CodeShield® Plastics, the CR2700 can be quickly and completely wiped down with even the harshest chemicals.
The CR2700 introduces Bluetooth® 5 to barcode scanning increasing data transmission security. By implementing a Bluetooth® 5 low energy radio, Code has extended the battery life to minimize downtime during work shifts. A built-in gauge tells users when it's time to change the battery, which can quickly be swapped for a fresh one, getting employees right back to business as usual. The CR2700 can also be paired with a Bluetooth Dongle providing easy setup and reliable communication with a host PC while allowing the scanner to be charged elsewhere.
The CR2700 itself, and other essential accessories are available in both light or dark gray respectively. The Light Grey model is built using CodeShield® Level 3 Plastics, able to withstand the widest range of disinfectants on the market. Alternatively, the Dark Grey model is built using CodeShield® Level 2 Plastics.

Codes's CR2700 is available in 2 specific configurations that are certified and validated to be FIPS 140-2 compliant.

Recently upgraded CortexTools3 software is available for download from the Code Corporation website at http://codecorp.com or contact Code Technical Support [email protected]. The latest firmware for Code Readers will yield the best results with CortexTools3, although older firmware versions are supported.
