All Code barcode readers have a visual and audible indication of a good read (i.e. a barcode was decoded successfully). However, when the barcode reader is embedded, these good read indicators may not be clear to users. Therefore, integrators may want to implement a separate good read indicator to make it easier for users to know when a barcode has successfully been decoded.

To help integrators know when the good read has occurred, a feature can be enabled to have the good read signal output to the RTS line to drive an external indicator. This signal is configurable for either low or high polarity to support different integration models. To leverage this feature, the reader must be in RS232 mode using the CRA-C501 cable.
This feature is available in firmware 1096 or later. Contact Code support for more detail.
