FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Code Readers
Complete UL and CB Certification
International Safety and Quality Manufacturing Standards Met and Exceeded
Draper, UT - September 29, 2006 - Code announced today its bar code readers (CR2
and CR3) met and exceeded both UL and CB quality and safety standards
accepted throughout the world, thereby achieving one of Code's significant
strategic objectives.
"We at Code Corporation believe the quality and safety of our products to be the
single most important factor in product design and support," said Marko Van Amen, manager of quality assurance at Code Corporation. "Code has always used the highest quality manufacturing standards, keeping user
safety in mind. The completion of this certification proves it."
An official certificate and report were issued in July 2006
indicating the requirements for UL and CB certifications under two numbered
standards (see following) had been met and exceeded. Code readers were
tested in the category of 'Information Technology Equipment' according
to IEC 60950-1 and IEC 60825-1 (specific to lasers) standards, recognized
by both UL and CB certifications. Code's products are distributed worldwide.
Certification against UL and CB standards ensures Code bar code readers
meet the highest quality and safety standards for use in any country
in the world.
"Code will continue to exceed quality and safety
standards in product manufacturing and performance," said Van Amen. "We've dedicated significant resources to establishing, and now maintaining, a
best-in-class designation for our bar code readers."
