Strategic Appointment of Director, Public Sector Business Development
for Code Corporation

Code's Bar Code Readers Enable Governmental Processes and Strategies

Draper, UT - September 21, 2006 - Code Corporation has announced the appointment of David Growe as public sector business development director, supporting increased industry focus in this vertical market.

"Code's bar code readers fill a specific need within government agencies by decoding information necessary for processing critical identification data," said Jim Bagley, Code's vice president of sales and marketing. "Two-dimensional bar codes on drivers' licenses and government identification cards, as well as vehicle registration and title documents, are being processed by Code's products in order to retrieve data quickly and securely. Bar code technology is automating vital security functions and contributing to public safety."

Growe brings over 20 years of experience in developing business opportunities within state, county and city government agencies. He holds a bachelor's degree from Gonzaga University in business administration. Growe has direct and relevant experience with hardware and software relating to motor vehicle registration/administration and traffic safety programs. His most recent work includes six years as regional business development manager for Digimarc Corporation, a leading supplier of digital drivers' license and identification card production systems used by state motor vehicle divisions.

The present world economy requires increased governmental security measures. The U.S. has created new agencies, such as the formation of Homeland Security and the Transportation Security Administration, accompanied by new security processes. Many new data storage and retrieval requirements within governmental offices are now required. The technology inherent in Code's products supports the demands of these vital strategies in the public sector through the use of bar codes in records management and secured personal data.

"We are seeing unique and responsive uses for our products evolve within the public sector," said Bagley. "With a renewed focus on maintaining secured information and protecting personal identities, Code's rugged and easily operated products are perfectly suited to these objectives."
